چکیده
The genus Kitasatosporia comprises a group of filamentous and aerobic Gram-positive bacteria and is phenotypically closely related to Stereptomyces strains. Characteristics of the genus Kitasatosporia are the presence of meso-diaminopimelic acid, LL-diaminopimelic acid, and galactose in the cell wall.1,2) During the course of our search for antifungal metabolites from microbes, we found that methanolic extracts of the culture broth of a new species of the genus Kitasatosporia isolated from a soil sample inhibited the growth of plant pathogens, such as Rhizoctonia solani, Botrytis cinerea, and Phythium ultimum. Classification and characteristics of the species have been reported.3) In this paper, we report the isolation, structure determination, and biological activities of a new bafilomycin derivative 2 designated bafilomycin C1-amide as well as the known bafilomycins, 1, 3, 4, and 5 from the fermentation broth.

We report here the draft genome sequence of Kitasatospora griseola strain MF730-N6, a known producer of bafilomycin, terpentecin, and satosporins. The current assembly comprises 8 contigs covering 7.97 Mb. Genome annotation revealed 7,225 protein coding sequences, 100 tRNAs, 40 rRNA genes, and 23 secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters.
متن کاملDiscovery of new hazimycin congeners from Kitasatospora sp. P07101
In an analytical study of microbial broths, the actinomycete strain Kitasatospora sp. P07101 was found to produce three new congeners, which were designated hazimycins B (1), C (2), and D (3), together with the previously reported hazimycin (renamed hazimycin A (4)). The structures of these hazimycins were examined using various spectroscopic methods including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ...
متن کاملTyropeptins A and B, new proteasome inhibitors produced by Kitasatospora sp. MK993-dF2. II. Structure determination and synthesis.
The structures of tyropeptins A and B, new proteasome inhibitors produced by Kitasatospora sp. MK993-dF2, were determined by analysis of various NMR experiments. The 1H and 13C NMR of tyropeptins were complicated due to the presence of an aldehyde group. Therefore, tyropeptins were converted to their alcohols by sodium borohydride. These alcohol derivatives gave assignable NMR spectra. The ster...
متن کاملCloning and functional analysis by gene disruption of a gene encoding a gamma-butyrolactone autoregulator receptor from Kitasatospora setae.
Gamma-butyrolactone autoregulator receptors of the genus Streptomyces have a common activity as DNA-binding transcriptional repressors, controlling secondary metabolism and/or morphological differentiation. A gene encoding a gamma-butyrolactone autoregulator receptor was cloned from a bafilomycin B1 producer, Kitasatospora setae, for the first time from a non-Streptomyces genus of actinomycetes...
